Jeanie with the Light Brown Hair

The flute is a key and instrument and the almost opera type singing style shows that this is definitely from a different time in music. Some of the more formal and older language puts another emphasis on the time period, yet it is done in a way that is still easily enjoyable almost 200 years later.  I dig the slow pace love song vibe, and after listening to it several times I think it almost has a reverence of a church hymn. It almost puts me to sleep because of the peaceful nature of the song. I absolutely love the third verse ends where he emphasizes and holds the notes. It shows off his singing ability and I enjoy it. I like how it slowly fades into a sad song too. If you aren’t paying attention It is kinda easy to miss it, but it slowly goes to even more somber. In the last verse, he sings about her smiles vanishing and how the wildflowers will wither on the shore where she won’t ever touch them again. I like the no autotune music too. I appreciate hearing the singer’s emotions and everything that they put into the songs. All and All it's a vibe. I like how It all sounds together and like I could listen to this song on a normal day.

  1. I totally agree! This song is so unique and fun! I love how peaceful and graceful it sounds. Almost like a leaf floating softly across still water. You could almost go on a walk into nature and you could get lost in the sound of it. I like how symbolic it is and how pretty it is! Thanks so much for picking this song because it is a great.

  2. I definitely also like the slow love song vibes. Nothing hits harder than these kind of songs when you're just in that mood. The comment that you made about it having a church hymn feel to it is definitely an accurate statement i would say! its a very nice song with a nice rhythm and good wholesome feel to it.
