A Change is gonna come by Sam Cooke

I liked this song the instant he played it in class. I added this song to Spotify and listened to it like ten times before I even knew I could write about it. To start this song is such a freaking bop. I love the intro with the instruments slow yet powerful I think it sets the tone for the rest of the song. I am a sucker for slow emotional songs, so this song hooked me right away.  I think that his voice just does such a good job of conveying all of his story. I think his words are so emotionally grabbing just telling of this hardship he has faced all his life yet knowing that things will eventually get better. This song is just really inspiring and so powerful. My favorite and I think the most powerful line in the song is "It's been too hard living But I'm afraid to die 'Cause I don't know what's up there Beyond the sky". He just says these words with something a little different, and they just mean so much. His words just have such an authority with them...

good vibrations By the beach bois

This song is the bop of all bops. I've grown up with this song my parents playing it and jamming to it, so this song brings back lots of memories. I really like the whole vibe that the beach bois give with a couple of sounds it fits them. This song has so many different sounds and unique styles. It feels like you could cut up and make like five or six different songs just from all the varying parts of the song. The song starts off with a cool, calm, and quiet vibe which feels like it will lead the song to something totally different. Then it comes in with the very strong and iconic chorus that makes you wanna move. Then slowly shifting into another smooth and soft part where they are just harmonizing is so cool to listen to. The diversity in this song is so cool. This is another love song that totally works its way into your heart. It gives off the same vibe as the band love Händel in Phineas and Ferb. They don't really song similar, but there is just a similar vibe for some r...

Maybellene By chuck Berry

Maybellene by chuck berry is a freaking bop. I have come to the conclusion that anything that chuck berry sings is just amazing. I think that if this song came out nowadays it would be popular. I think that just the upbeat nature and  This song is an upbeat song with some amazing instrumentals.  I think that chuck berry's voice is perfect for his songs. He just has such a unique and exciting voice to listen to. All of his music just can pup you up so easily. Just listening to it three times made me so excited. I think watching him perform would have been such a cool experience. Whenever berry sings, he also tells stories so well. This song for instance talks about a girl named Maybelline who has been cheating on him. He is trying to chase her in his v8, and she is running away in her cadillac. He ending up catching up to her which is where the song ends. Just like some of Berry's other songs this song just tells a story at a fast pace song that is just very fun and excit...

Great Speckled Bird Roy Acuff

I can kinda see a connection between this and some of the older country singers. Just his dialect and the words he uses makes a connection. He seemed very well-liked at the time for this type of music. I'm not a big fan of this style of music. This song is slower, but more so in the way, he just talks slow. Not in the way most are where they drag out their words and show more emotion. He puts his emotions and meaning into the writing more so than like how he sings I think It is pretty impressive that he still could sing so well in his old age.  I think that the song is talking about being pure. It also kinda talks about how hard it is to stay like that and make it into heaven. I feel like most of the songs in this era and genre are love songs, adventure, and death. This one being about heaven and trying to be worthy is an interesting twist on that for sure. This song is just like a hymn where people could sing it in congregation too. There are recordings of this song from whe...
