Lose yourself By M&M

Ok to start as usual this song is a freaking bop! Listening to this song for this is really exhilarating. This song gets me super pumped up and it is for sure on my workout playlist. During this year we have had to listen to some weird songs but being able to listen to a familiar song that I enjoy is really cool.  I am a big fan of Eminem and everything he does. I like to watch his interviews. He has such a unique perspective on everything. He has some cool interviews where he condemns Grammys and the whole corrupt system they have made. I really enjoy how much of a lyricist he is too. To get started Lose yourself is a really cool song. This song is about his transition from living in a trailer park in an 8-mile Detroit to becoming a rap superstar. Along with the movie 8-mile which is a super cool movie. This movie just shows the story of getting and his success. "Lose Yourself" song had also won him 3 Grammys. To start with the song, I really like the beat. I think it set i...

Smells like Teen Spirt by Nirvana

Firstly, this song is a freaking bop. I feel like Nirvana has a lot of songs that are just as good as this one, but this one just got really popular. Their run was definitely way too short. This song is definitely a classic that everyone has heard though. I think that it really sums up their whole grunge genre really well. I think that the album cover is really funny. A naked baby chasing a dollar bill. There is definitely a lot of symbolism here too. My favorite part of listening to these older songs is listening to the emotions in these songs and that is usually prorated through the lyrics. That being said, my favorite part of this song is the lyrics. What Nirvana does is have a lot of meaning behind everything, and I am a big fan of that. I think music that means something is just better most of the time. The song is named after a deodorant brand that they thought was just a cool phrase. I think the lyrics here really resonate with people. I think they really do so even today. ...

Thriller by Michael Jackson

This week we do not have a lot of good choices, so I am going with Thriller. Firstly This song is a bop. I feel like have heard this song thousands of times. This is one of those songs that literally everyone has played for us telling up it is literally the best song. The number don't like that this is a good song. I feel like we as a generation are kinda missing out from this though. Don't get me wrong I like it, but I think that it has already been played so many times that we do not get to appreciate the song as we should have.  This song is a bop though. I really like it and everything Michael Jackson did with this song. I think another good thing that was done was just the storytelling aspect of the song alone. The deep voice that comes in can easily give chills. This song gives super strong Halloween vibes.   I think that one of the reasons that this song did so well was because of the music video too. It does a really good job at catching your attention...

I want to be sedated by the Ramones

I have liked this song for a long time. I heard it for the first time several years ago and ever since I knew it was true love. I really enjoy the sound the Ramones have. It is very reminiscent of the music in movies in tv shows I grew up with. I think the sound they make falls into a good category where if you just want to jam out loud in your car then can do it easily and have a great time. I can see late at night driving down roads for no particular reason just jamming out with friends and just having a great night. On the other hand, there is a meaning for the song. If you can't connect with people then life's not worth living. They also wrote the song when the manager they had was overworking them and making them tour 360 days a year. During this time you can easily imagine how life would feel monotonous and kinda boring at some point too. I feel like the music video does a good job of conveying this too. There is just so much going on as they sit at the table just eating...

Hotel California the eagles

Firstly, this song is a freaking bop. This is one of those songs that has passed the test of time and people still listen to it today in spite of it being so long ago. This song is one of the most popular cover songs too. I feel like this is one a lot of people have a good voice for and choose to sing it. People realize how iconic and good this song truly is. I personally really enjoy it. I do think that this song is kinda played too much though. It has just gotten overplayed throughout the many years it has been released, but that does not detract from the song itself though. I think one of the reasons this is so popular is just the universal appeal. The sound isn't super specific to a time period or genre so that allows it to keep appealing to people.  I also think that the sound being slower and kinda gently allows everyone just to chill. The lyrics also play a role. I think that they are chill enough that if people don't want to think about what it really means then they ...

A Change is gonna come by Sam Cooke

I liked this song the instant he played it in class. I added this song to Spotify and listened to it like ten times before I even knew I could write about it. To start this song is such a freaking bop. I love the intro with the instruments slow yet powerful I think it sets the tone for the rest of the song. I am a sucker for slow emotional songs, so this song hooked me right away.  I think that his voice just does such a good job of conveying all of his story. I think his words are so emotionally grabbing just telling of this hardship he has faced all his life yet knowing that things will eventually get better. This song is just really inspiring and so powerful. My favorite and I think the most powerful line in the song is "It's been too hard living But I'm afraid to die 'Cause I don't know what's up there Beyond the sky". He just says these words with something a little different, and they just mean so much. His words just have such an authority with them...

good vibrations By the beach bois

This song is the bop of all bops. I've grown up with this song my parents playing it and jamming to it, so this song brings back lots of memories. I really like the whole vibe that the beach bois give with a couple of sounds it fits them. This song has so many different sounds and unique styles. It feels like you could cut up and make like five or six different songs just from all the varying parts of the song. The song starts off with a cool, calm, and quiet vibe which feels like it will lead the song to something totally different. Then it comes in with the very strong and iconic chorus that makes you wanna move. Then slowly shifting into another smooth and soft part where they are just harmonizing is so cool to listen to. The diversity in this song is so cool. This is another love song that totally works its way into your heart. It gives off the same vibe as the band love Händel in Phineas and Ferb. They don't really song similar, but there is just a similar vibe for some r...
